Actress Jennifer Aniston admits she wears minimal make-up in summers in order to keep her skin fresh and healthy. The 45-year-old ‘Friends’ star uses less moisturiser in summer, reported People magazine. ‘Summertime I wear the least amount, if any, make-up. I use a great moisturiser. If anything, I put a little concealer here and there, a little rose on my cheeks, dust with bronzer.
That’s summertime,’ Aniston said. ‘And it’s good not to over-moisturise because it clogs your pores! More moisture in the winter months, obviously. But here (in Los Angeles), it’s just like one big season,’ she added. The actress said she is excited about the summer sun. ‘Nothing gets me more excited than the first day of spring,’ she said. Summer make-up tips
It is actually a pretty wise advice to keep make-up to a minimum during summers. Just like you don’t like to wear to many layers of clothes in the summer, your skin too wants to feel free. Depending on your skin type, you can choose products which are not too heavy and won’t block pores.
Never forget to apply a good sunscreen, even if you are spending a day at home. This is the first and most important tip you need to remember. If you have dry skin, you can opt for a good moisturiser which also has SPF in it.
Apply a layer of primer before you put on any make-up to even out the skin tone. Now, apply sheer base which offers light coverage and is not too heavy.
You can next dab some loose powder on the skin to make the shine go away and let it look fresh and natural. Since you tend to sweat more during summers, make sure you do not apply too much of foundation. Keep it light. Keep tissues in your bag to wipe off the sweat and compact powder for a touch-up when needed.
