Front Wave Pompadour
Straight out of the 50’s rock’n’roll era, the Pompadour or pomp is super fun and adventurous. Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Ricky Nelson ruled this look and they did it with style. Today heartthrobs like David Beckham and Justin Timberlake have also sported the look, reigniting its popularity. If you too are willing to go the extra mile and jazz up your evening, this hairstyle is for you.
This hairstyle is ideally meant for those with long length hair in the front and short hair at the back and sides.
What you need: A rat-tail comb/brush, pomade hair styling product, blow dryer.
Steps:
Ensure your hair is completely dry. Blow-dry your hair roots in the direction you want your hair to stay.Blow-dry your hair upwards to form the pomp.Once, done with the blow drying, shape your hair with your fingers. Run your fingers through your hair upwards and then let it fall inwards.Brush the rest of the hair (sides and back) neatly backwards.Use a finger-tip amount of the pomade hair product. Spread this on both your palms.Apply the product in the direction your hair was blow dried. For the pomp, push your hair (from the front) forward placing your hand on the tip of the hair. Or you could use a rat-tail comb and curve the front locks.
Sport this retro-rock hairdo and set out for an evening of style and sophistication, while maintaining a bit of that characteristic rebellious rock’n’roll spirit.
